Cerha Hempel Advises Amina Bank on MiCA Authorization for Amina Austria

"Cerha Hempel advised Amina Bank on securing MiCA authorisation for its subsidiary Amina Austria from Austria’s Financial Market Authority. The licence, among the first MiCA approvals in Austria, enables Amina Austria to act as the group’s EU hub for crypto-asset services. Amina Bank is a regulated crypto bank based in Zug."

Cerha Hempel advised Amina Bank and its subsidiary Amina Austria in obtaining authorisation under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation from Austria’s Financial Market Authority. The Financial Market Authority’s licence is among the first MiCA authorisations granted in Austria. The authorisation permits Amina Austria to provide crypto-asset services across the single market and to act as the group’s EU hub for such services, supporting Amina Bank’s strategy to expand its offering under the new harmonised EU regime. Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, Amina Bank is a fully regulated crypto bank that combines traditional private banking with digital-asset services. Its shareholder base includes Julius Baer, and the group maintains additional offices, among others, in the UAE and Hong Kong.
