Stocche Forbes advised Bradesco Holding de Investimentos on the extension of a convertible loan to Ecora Environment and Governance, with Ecgn Doce Latam FIP acting as an intervening party. The transaction involved an extension of credit to support Ecora’s validation, verification and certification of carbon credits and to position Ecora as a Brazilian certifier of carbon credit projects. The proceeds will finance a feasibility study, a work plan and the structuring of the activity. The creditor will have the option, but not the obligation, to convert the loan into shares of Ecora, subject to Ecora’s conversion into a corporation.
