PLUTA restructuring expert Philip Konen seeks investor for Hübingen family holiday village

"PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, acting as provisional administrator for Familienferiendorf Hübingen e.V., is seeking an investor after the association filed for insolvency and the Local Court of Montabaur ordered provisional administration on 30 October 2025. The holiday village remains open, bookings are honoured through January 2026, and 27 employees have salary protection while PLUTA pursues a continuity solution."

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH is acting as provisional administrator for Familienferiendorf Hübingen e.V., which has filed for insolvency. The association Familienferiendorf Hübingen e.V. submitted an insolvency application and, on 30 October 2025, the Local Court of Montabaur ordered provisional insolvency administration of the association’s assets. Attorney Philip Konen of PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH has been appointed provisional administrator and is leading efforts to secure the enterprise’s continued operation and to identify a financing partner. The holiday village will remain open during the provisional proceedings. Operations continue as normal: guests are welcome, services are being provided, and bookings are being accepted. The site is fully booked for the next two weeks, with some availability in December. All bookings accepted for stays up to and including January 2026 will be honoured. The association employs 27 people; their salaries are guaranteed until the end of January 2026 through substitute benefits under German insolvency law. Intensive efforts are under way to develop a continuation solution for the period thereafter, including active discussions with potential investors. The association has cited sharply rising costs that could not be offset by higher sales as the reason for the insolvency filing. PLUTA will initiate a process to find a suitable investor to preserve the business and secure its long-term future. Familienferiendorf Hübingen e.V. operates the well-known holiday village in the Westerwald region. Founded in the 1960s with strong church links, the association specialises in family holidays and group visits. The site comprises 35 holiday homes, each with a combined kitchen/living room, two to four bedrooms, a bathroom and a deck with garden furniture. Facilities include a tepee, a circus tent, a circus wagon, multiple function rooms for groups and a peace chapel used for worship, events, choir rehearsals, concerts and seminars. The village is generally open from February through December and can open for larger groups upon request during the winter closure. Hanno Heil, chairperson of the association, said: "We cater for groups and families with our many nature attractions. We need a financially strong partner for our concept to keep the business operating in the long term. I am hoping for a successful outcome here and would like to thank all our team for their tremendous support during this challenging period." PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH represented Familienferiendorf Hübingen e.V. with a team composed by: Philip Konen (provisional administrator and restructuring expert), Denise Schäfer (attorney, restructuring and insolvency), Philipp Meyer (attorney, restructuring and insolvency) and Stefan Meyer (attorney).
