Schoenherr Advises OMV on EUR 1 Billion Dual-Tranche Corporate Bond Issuance

"Schoenherr advised OMV on a EUR 1 billion dual-tranche corporate bond issuance. White & Case reportedly advised the joint bookrunners (Bank of China, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Raiffeisen Bank International, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered). The bonds were issued in two EUR 500m tranches under OMV’s EUR 14 billion Euro Medium Term Note Program."

Schoenherr advised OMV on the transaction, while White & Case reportedly advised the joint bookrunners Bank of China, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Raiffeisen Bank International, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered. The transaction comprised the issuance of EUR 1 billion in corporate bonds, issued in two equal tranches of EUR 500 million each with maturities of eight and fifteen years respectively. The securities were placed with both international institutional investors and Austrian retail investors under OMV’s EUR 14 billion Euro Medium Term Note Program, governed by German law. Each bond has a denomination of EUR 1,000 and has been admitted to trading on the Official Market of the Vienna Stock Exchange and on the regulated market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The joint bookrunners for the issuance were Bank of China, Citigroup, Commerzbank, Raiffeisen Bank International, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered.
