Barakat, Maher & Partners with Clyde & Co advises on EGP 804 million securitization bond for Arab African International Leasing

Barakat, Maher & Partners, in association with Clyde & Co, advised Capital for Securitization on the EGP 804,000,000 securitization bond issuance for the portfolio of Arab African International Leasing Company. The issuance received approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority on 10 November 2025. The transaction comprised a securitization bond issuance structured to transfer and finance a portfolio of receivables originated by Arab African International Leasing Company. CI Capital Holding acted as financial advisor and lead arranger for the transaction. Banque du Caire acted as custodian. Suez Canal Bank served as the subscription receiver and one of the underwriters alongside Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt and Al Baraka Bank. This issuance represents a notable development for the non-banking financial sector. It follows Capital for Securitization’s recent activity in the market, including four closings on the mortgage portfolio of Bedaya (notably: EGP 843,000,000 on 29 December 2023; EGP 1,415,500,000 on 10 October 2024; EGP 1,780,500,000 on 25 December 2024; and EGP 1,637,000,000 on 26 March 2025) and a securitization on the microfinance portfolio of Erada Microfinance valued at EGP 718,000,000 in January 2025. The firms note this transaction as a milestone for Arab African International Leasing and as part of the expanding securitization market in Egypt.
