Orrick advises TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital on acquisition of emeis senior-residence business in France

Orrick advised TwentyTwo Real Estate and Azora Capital on their acquisition of the French senior-residence business of emeis. The transaction represents an initial investment of approximately €160 million and covers the entirety of emeis’s French portfolio of senior residences. The portfolio comprises 16 recently constructed assets totaling around 1,900 units, of which seven residences are currently in operation and nine have been recently delivered and remain vacant. Management of the residences will be entrusted to the operator Les Jardins d’Arcadie under a long-term management agreement. The acquisition constitutes the first operation in the creation by TwentyTwo Real Estate of an investment platform dedicated to senior residences.
