Clifford Chance advised Fonds de Consolidation et de Développement des Entreprises (FCDE) on the structuring of its third local specialist strategy buyout fund, FCDE Fund III. As part of its continued specialized investment strategy, FCDE has closed the fundraising for FCDE Fund III at its €400 million hard cap following a process completed in just over six months in a particularly challenging and competitive environment. The fund was oversubscribed, representing approximately a 45% increase compared with FCDE Fund II, which closed in 2023 at €277 million. FCDE Fund III attracted the support of blue‑chip institutional investors in France and internationally. The fundraising enables FCDE to pursue its proven strategy of supporting the development and transformation of SMEs and mid‑cap companies with strong growth potential.
