Clifford Chance Advises Blackstone on Sale of NIBC Bank to ABN AMRO

Clifford Chance represented Blackstone in connection with the sale of NIBC Bank to ABN AMRO Bank N.V. The transaction involves the agreed sale of NIBC Bank by Blackstone to ABN AMRO. Having advised Blackstone on its public takeover of NIBC in 2020, Clifford Chance acted for Blackstone in this next stage of NIBC’s development. The deal is described as an important milestone in the bank’s progress and is intended to provide a strong platform for its next phase of growth. Completion of the transaction is expected in the second half of 2026 and remains subject to regulatory approvals.
