Browne Jacobson Advises Phenna Group on Acquisition as It Expands in Ireland

Browne Jacobson advised Phenna Group on its acquisition of Testall Construction Testing Services Limited, assisting Phenna Group in the transaction. The transaction concerns Phenna Group’s purchase of Testall Construction Testing Services Limited, a leading Irish provider of materials testing, site investigation and geotechnical services. The acquisition will see Testall integrated into Simtec, the specialist materials testing business within Phenna Group; Simtec has itself recently expanded through the acquisition of Construction Testing Services in Northern Ireland. The deal increases the number of companies within Phenna Group’s Infrastructure division to 23 as the group continues to broaden its capabilities and geographic reach across the UK and Ireland. Phenna Group, headquartered in Nottingham, is a global provider of testing, inspection, certification and compliance (TICC) services that invests in and partners with selected niche, independent TICC companies across a variety of sectors to deliver testing and assurance services. Testall has established a strong reputation for its technical expertise, responsiveness and quality, serving public and private clients on major infrastructure, construction and civil engineering projects.
