Solution Secured for Bavarian Forest Location of Education Provider erlebnistage

"PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH acted as general agents for debtor erlebnistage gGmbH; Dannhorn und Paeschke GmbH advised the buyer Erlebnistage Bayerischer Wald e.V.; and Schultze & Braun served as insolvency monitor for the creditors. The buyer acquired the Bavarian Forest business and the Wolfsteiner Hütte lodge, retaining about 20 employees effective 1 October 2025; all three erlebnistage sites will continue operating."

PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH acted as general agents for debtor erlebnistage gGmbH in the debtor-in-possession proceedings; Dannhorn und Paeschke GmbH advised the buyer Erlebnistage Bayerischer Wald e.V.; and Schultze & Braun served as insolvency monitor representing the creditors. The PLUTA team found a continuation solution for the Bavarian Forest location of erlebnistage gGmbH, ensuring that all three of the provider’s sites — the Bavarian Forest, the Harz Mountains and Lake Schwerin — will be maintained. The newly established association Erlebnistage Bayerischer Wald e.V. acquired the Bavarian Forest operations, including the Wolfsteiner Hütte lodge, and retained all approximately 20 employees with retroactive effect from 1 October 2025. The related purchase agreement was signed in late October 2025. Constructive discussions concerning the company’s Haus Wiesengrund and Haus Forellenhof properties are currently underway. Katharina Heimrath and Tony Jäger, who had been managing the Bavarian Forest site, will continue to lead the operation and serve on the association’s board alongside Alex Ferstl and Professor Dr Werner Michl. The provider specialises in outdoor education experiences delivered through class and group excursions that promote sustainable education and personal development. Heimrath and Jäger reported positive feedback in recent months and expressed optimism about growth and bookings in 2026. Founded in 1986, erlebnistage gGmbH entered debtor-in-possession proceedings in mid-December 2024. Attorney Philip Konen and business management expert Ludwig Stern of PLUTA supported the proceedings as general agents, assisted by business management expert Luca Reifenberg and attorneys Ingo Thurm and Denise Schäfer. The proceedings were converted into regular insolvency proceedings on 10 November 2025, and Tobias Hartwig of Schultze & Braun, who had overseen the process as insolvency monitor for the creditors, was appointed administrator. Dannhorn und Paeschke GmbH advised the buyer in the transaction.
