Koutalidis, together with Allen Overy Shearman Sterling, advised Alpha Bank, and Sardelas Petsa, together with Clifford Chance, advised the joint lead managers BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley Europe and UniCredit. The transaction comprised the issuance of EUR 500 million fixed-rate reset green senior preferred notes due 2031, issued under Alpha Bank’s EUR 15 billion euro medium-term note (EMTN) programme. The notes were listed and admitted to trading on the Euro MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. This issuance marked Alpha Bank’s first full investment-grade transaction in recent years and its first green senior preferred issuance. The offering was rated Baa2 by Moody’s and attracted strong investor interest, with demand reaching EUR 3 billion, equivalent to a six-times oversubscription.
