Legance advised the purchaser Italtrecce, the acquisition vehicle of International Wire Group; BDO provided tax due diligence services for Italtrecce; and the sellers were assisted by Banca Mediolanum Investment Banking as financial advisor and by legal counsel Rosanna Frischetto and Alessandra del Bianco on the legal aspects of the transaction. International Wire Group, a company in the portfolio of the US private equity fund Olympus Partners and an operator in electrical infrastructure across North America and Europe, has acquired 100% of the share capital of Special Corde through its subsidiary Italtrecce. Special Corde is specialised in the production of special conductors used in electrical transformers and other essential electrical components. The acquisition strengthens International Wire Group's presence in its reference market. Legance represented the purchaser Italtrecce with a team composed by: Partner Piero Venturini; Managing Associate Francesco Bianchi; Senior Associate Matilde Finucci; and Associate Arianna Benvenuti. BDO assisted Italtrecce on tax due diligence matters. Banca Mediolanum Investment Banking acted as financial advisor to the sellers.
