GÖRG advises on sale of Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik to HF Opportunities in insolvency proceedings

GÖRG Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB advised the insolvency administrator of Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH in the sale process, while White & Case LLP acted through insolvency administrator Dr Jan-Philipp Hoos, who oversaw the insolvency administration. The transaction comprises the sale of automotive supplier Gerhardi Kunststofftechnik GmbH to HF Opportunities GmbH, a unit of the Hannover Finanz Group. With the transfer now complete, business operations at Gerhardi have largely been maintained and the future of around 960 jobs has been secured. The long-established supplier will continue to operate under HF Opportunities GmbH and will be integrated into a new platform for plastics and surface technologies. The integration is expected to create synergies with Baden-Württemberg-based supplier freeglass and to ensure the long-term survival of the company at its three locations in Lüdenscheid, Rosmart and Ibbenbüren.
