Sullivan & Cromwell Advises Sportradar on CMA Clearance for Acquisition of IMG ARENA

Sullivan & Cromwell advised Sportradar in connection with its acquisition of IMG ARENA from Endeavor Group and OB Global Holdings. The UK Competition and Markets Authority granted merger clearance for the acquisition, accepting a failing firm argument that IMG ARENA would otherwise have exited the UK market without the transaction. The acquisition adds IMG ARENA’s global sports betting rights portfolio to Sportradar’s business, bringing more than 70 rightsholders and delivering 38,000 official data events and 29,000 streaming events across 14 global sports on six continents. With this addition, Sportradar’s sports coverage totals more than 1 million matches annually.
