IW Melcheds and Mattos Filho advise on CEEC Brazil acquisition of Coremas solar complex

IW Melcheds Advogados represented CEEC Brazil in the acquisition of the Coremas I, II and III photovoltaic power plants. Mattos Filho Advogados advised the sellers, being the equity holders of FIP Coremas, which is controlled by Nordic Power Partners, a joint venture between European Energy and Impact Fund Denmark. The transaction was executed through the purchase of the equity held by FIP Coremas and covers the Coremas solar complex, located in the municipality of Coremas, state of Paraíba, with an installed capacity of 93.41 MWp. The complex operates under a Reserve Energy Auction (LER) power purchase agreement. The acquisition marks CEEC Brazil’s entry into the Brazilian renewable energy generation sector and underpins the company’s long‑term strategy to expand into diversified clean energy solutions, including new renewable projects, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and green hydrogen initiatives. CEEC Brazil intends to operate the Coremas plants on a long‑term basis, with planned investments to maintain and enhance operational performance, and to promote socio‑economic development initiatives in partnership with local communities.
