Eversheds Sutherland advises Perwyn on sale of Lowe Rental to MML Keystone

Eversheds Sutherland advised Perwyn on its agreement to exit its majority holding in Lowe Rental to MML Keystone, with Perwyn also agreeing to reinvest in the business. The transaction sees Perwyn, a longstanding European private equity investor, sell its majority stake in Lowe Rental while retaining an investment in the company. Lowe Rental, headquartered in Northern Ireland, is described as the global market leader in sustainable rental services, specialising in commercial refrigeration and catering equipment as well as kitchen and cold room infrastructure. Perwyn’s partnership with Lowe Rental, which began with its original acquisition in 2018, included efforts to diversify the customer base and product offering, expand internationally, drive strategic M&A and reposition the business for long-term success. Under Perwyn’s stewardship the business experienced significant growth, with turnover rising from £33m in 2019 to approximately £120m in 2025. Following the transaction, Lowe Rental will pursue a new chapter of international growth and technological innovation, targeting both organic expansion and strategic acquisition-led growth, enhancing its rental initiatives and further developing its Internet of Things offering.
