Norton Rose Fulbright represented AES Andes in the financings for two renewable energy projects in Chile’s Antofagasta region. The transactions comprised two separate project financings totaling in excess of US$1 billion. The Cristales project closed on 13 August 2025 and involved a US$459.5 million financing for a 287.6 MWp solar plant paired with a 340 MW/4-hour battery energy storage system. The Pampas project closed on 16 October 2025 and secured US$548.9 million in senior secured construction and term financing for a hybrid development combining solar, wind and battery energy storage.
