honert advised the CERTANIA Group on its acquisition of C-TEC Systemtechnik und Serviceleistung für Werkstoffprüfung GmbH. The transaction brings together CERTANIA’s strategic investment approach in Testing, Inspection, Certification and Research (TIC) with C-TEC’s specialist service offering. The CERTANIA Group is a strategic investor in TIC that seeks to build a network of leading companies contributing to health and sustainability across operations and their ecosystems. It focuses on businesses that combine deep technical expertise with excellent customer service to deliver holistic solutions and serve customers across the entire value chain. CERTANIA Holding pursues a long-term investment plan based on partnerships with management teams to jointly build a leading TIC group and to enable partners to pool and further develop expertise to meet growing consumer demand for transparency and verification in health and sustainability. Founded in 1996 and based in Dortmund, C-TEC offers accredited calibration, testing and repair services for measurement and testing equipment across multiple industries. With seven accredited calibration procedures and a high level of technical expertise, C-TEC supports precision and regulatory compliance for customers in the automotive, aerospace, energy and materials testing sectors. Its client base includes Deutsche Bahn, Airbus, Porsche, Mercedes, Siemens and BASF.
