Latham & Watkins Advises on WeRide HK$2.4 Billion Dual Primary IPO and HKEX Listing

Latham & Watkins advised China International Capital Corp (CICC), Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in connection with WeRide’s HK$2.4 billion initial public offering and dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, alongside a US SEC-registered offering. The transaction comprised a HK$2.4 billion initial public offering and a dual primary listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, together with an offering registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. WeRide is the first dual primary listed 18C Specialist Technology Company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to adopt a weighted voting rights structure. Latham & Watkins previously advised on WeRide’s IPO on the Nasdaq Stock Market in October 2024. WeRide is a global leader in the autonomous driving industry and the first publicly traded Robotaxi company. Its autonomous vehicles have been tested or operated in more than 30 cities across 11 countries. The company is the first and only technology firm whose products have received autonomous driving permits in seven jurisdictions: China, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, France, Saudi Arabia, Belgium and the United States. Latham & Watkins represented China International Capital Corp (CICC), Morgan Stanley and J.P.
