TLT advises on sale of iconic British clothing retailer Weird Fish to Total Capital Partners' Auralis fund

TLT advised the seller group, Walker Morris acted for the buyer Total Capital Partners (via its Auralis continuation fund), and Shoosmiths represented incoming lender Shawbrook; other advisers on the transaction included Alvarez & Marsal, Hazelwoods, BDO, KR8 Advisory and Doyle Clayton. The transaction comprises the acquisition of Weird Fish, a British lifestyle clothing and accessories brand, by the owner Total Capital Partners (TCP) as part of a continuation fund named Auralis. Weird Fish operates 38 stores across the UK, 72 concessions and an online business. The Auralis fund establishes an acquisition platform intended to pursue strategic growth by targeting undervalued retail businesses and brands to assemble a broader active and lifestyle-focused retail portfolio, with Weird Fish as its first acquisition. The acquisition is intended to enable Weird Fish to build on recent financial and operational improvements and to expand its presence and brand profile following record results for the first half of the financial year. TLT advised the seller group on all aspects of the sale.
