A&O Shearman Advises Algebris on Launch of Algebris Tricolore PMI Fund

A&O Shearman advised Algebris Investments in the launch of the Algebris Tricolore PMI fund. The transaction concerns the establishment of Algebris Tricolore PMI, a closed and reserved Italian alternative investment fund (FIA) that invests in Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. The new fund forms part of the Fondo Nazionale Strategico Indiretto (FNSI), a compartment of Patrimonio Rilancio promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and managed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti to support the infrastructure of the Italian capital markets. Algebris Tricolore PMI is intended to generate value by investing in Italian mid and small-cap companies. The fund will remain active until 2032 and, in line with Law 28 October 2024, n.162 (the so-called Start-Up Law), will invest at least 70% of its assets in high-growth, quality Italian micro, small and mid-cap companies with healthy balance sheets, strong cash generation and high returns on capital.
