Burges Salmon advised German-headquartered Fiege Group on securing a new lease at the DC2 facility at Prologis Park Hams Hall, assisting Fiege as it establishes its first UK logistics hub. The transaction comprises a lease of 261,147 sq. ft of high-quality logistics space situated at the heart of the UK motorway network, approximately 10 miles from Birmingham city centre. The DC2 facility benefits from an on-site intermodal rail freight terminal linking directly to major seaports and the Channel Tunnel. This connectivity is intended to strengthen Fiege’s European fulfilment network, optimise cross-border flows, shorten delivery times and reduce transport miles. The site also offers scalability to support future growth in one of the UK’s most competitive logistics markets and to meet rising demand for e-commerce services. Burges Salmon represented Fiege Group with a team composed by: Will Hall, Partner; Alexandra Clayton, Director; Richard Watkins, Associate (all from the firm’s Real Estate team); and Amy McPherson, Associate, who advised on construction matters.
