CMS Francis Lefebvre Maroc Advises CMA CGM on Joint Venture with Marsa Maroc to Operate Nador West Med Western Container Terminal

CMS Francis Lefebvre Maroc, a long-standing subsidiary of CMS Francis Lefebvre, advised CMA CGM Group on the conclusion of a partnership agreement with Marsa Maroc to establish a joint venture to operate the West Container Terminal at the port of Nador West Med. The transaction provides for the creation of a joint venture that will operate the western container terminal at Nador West Med, a strategic Mediterranean port on Morocco's coast. The terminal is scheduled to become gradually operational from 2027 and will offer an annual capacity of 1.8 million TEUs. Once operational, it is intended to become a major transshipment hub in the Mediterranean, enhancing Morocco's integration into global shipping routes. The operation remains subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
