DMD Advocates Advises IMFA on Acquisition of Tata Steel’s Ferro Chrome Plant at Kalinganagar

IMFA acquired a 99 MVA furnace capacity (66 MVA existing, 33 MVA under construction) on 115 acres by way of an asset purchase for a base consideration of ₹610 crore."

DMD Advocates advised Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Limited (IMFA) on its acquisition of Tata Steel Limited's ferro chrome plant located at Kalinganagar, Odisha. The transaction was structured as an asset purchase by which IMFA acquired the ferro chrome plant established on 115 acres of land at Kalinganagar. Under the definitive agreements, IMFA will acquire a total of 99 MVA furnace capacity, comprising 66 MVA of existing capacity and 33 MVA under construction, for a base purchase consideration of ₹610 crore.
