AAVantgarde Bio, a clinical-stage biotech company pioneering therapies for inherited retinal diseases (IRD), closed a $141 million Series B financing. The round was led jointly by Schroders Capital, Atlas Venture and Forbion. New investors included Amgen Ventures, Athos KG, CDP Venture Capital, Columbia IMC, Neva SGR, Sixty Degree Capital, XGen Venture and Willett Advisors, while existing investors Longwood Fund and Sofinnova Telethon Fund also participated.
