Arthur Cox and Proskauer Rose acted as legal counsel to Aspirity Partners in connection with the final close of its inaugural fund, Aspirity Partners I, and assisted the manager in completing the transaction. Aspirity Partners I, an Irish-domiciled investment limited partnership focused on growth buyouts in Financial Technology & Services and Enterprise Technology & Connectivity Services, reached a final close at over €875 million. The fund is the largest first-time private equity fund launched in Ireland and the third largest Irish-established vehicle targeting the European buyout market. It reached its hard cap six months after formal launch and was significantly oversubscribed, reflecting demand for Aspirity’s specialist strategy. Founded by Joseph O’Mara and Ralph Choufani, Aspirity attracted commitments from institutional investors across North America, Europe and Asia‑Pacific, including endowments, foundations, pension funds, global family offices, insurance companies and fund-of-funds. The manager received support from a roster of advisers: Rede Partners acted as fundraising adviser; IQ‑EQ served as fund administrator; and Standish Management provided GP administration. Arthur Cox represented Aspirity Partners with a team composed by: Siobhán McBean (Partner, Asset Management and Investment Funds), David Kilty (Partner, Tax), Sophie Frederix (Partner, Corporate and M&A), Ruby McEntegart (Senior Associate, Asset Management and Investment Funds) and Aoife Morgan (Associate, Asset Management and Investment Funds). Proskauer Rose represented Aspirity Partners as legal counsel.
