Clifford Chance advises Cesce on Spain's first state-backed guarantee to the EIB

Clifford Chance advised Cesce, the Spanish Export Credit Agency (ECA), on the guarantee issued on behalf of the Spanish State to the European Investment Bank (EIB) in support of a €500 million green loan facility to Iberdrola. The guarantee is the first of its kind issued by Cesce on behalf of the Spanish State to the EIB. It underpins a €500 million green loan facility granted by the EIB to Iberdrola for the development of the Windanker offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. Clifford Chance’s export finance team advised on all legal aspects of the operation through its international network.
