"Linklaters Advises on €318 Million Project Finance for Largest Onshore Wind Farm in the Baltic States"

"Linklaters has advised Vėjas LT UAB and Windlit UAB, Lithuanian project companies controlled by Ignitis Renewables UAB, on a €318 million project financing. The funds will support the design, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of the 314 MW Kelmė wind farm, the largest onshore wind project in the Baltic States, set to supply energy to 250,000 Lithuanian households. The transaction involved Linklaters' Energy & Infrastructure Practice Group, led by partner Tessa Lee, with support from associates and teams in London and Frankfurt."

Linklaters assisted Vėjas LT UAB and Windlit UAB, two Lithuanian project companies indirectly controlled by Ignitis Renewables UAB, in a project finance transaction amounting to 318 million euros. The transaction aims to finance the costs and expenses related to the design, development, construction, management, and maintenance of the Kelmė wind farm, a 314-megawatt onshore wind project. This is the largest onshore wind project in the Baltic States and will provide energy to 250,000 Lithuanian households. Linklaters acted through its Energy & Infrastructure Practice Group, led by partner Tessa Lee, supported by managing associates Lucia Ciocarlan and Maria Chiara De Biasio, and trainee Riccardo Sirchia. The cross-border transaction also involved teams from the firm's London and Frankfurt offices.
