Burges Salmon, an independent UK law firm, advised the Ultima group on its merger with the Trustmarque group, creating one of the UK’s largest IT services providers. The transaction involved the merger of Ultima, headquartered in Reading and backed by Apse Capital, with Trustmarque, based in York and supported by One Equity Partners. The combined entity boasts a gross invoiced income approaching £1 billion, a workforce of over 1,000 employees, and serves more than 3,000 customers across seven UK and international locations. The merger integrates complementary strengths in managed services, automation, cloud, and digital transformation, while preserving the geographic and operational balance of both organizations.
