CMS advised Česká spořitelna, a.s. on the financing provided to Zwg.wine holding for the acquisition of a majority stake in ZNOVÍN ZNOJMO, a.s., one of the largest wineries in the Czech Republic. The transaction involved the newly established Zwg.wine holding, a local strategic investor, acquiring a majority stake in ZNOVÍN ZNOJMO. Zwg.wine, which already includes the Lahofer, Waldberg, and Hanzel wineries, becomes one of the three largest wine producers in the Czech Republic, managing nearly 1,000 hectares of vineyards. ZNOVÍN ZNOJMO, founded in the 1950s and headquartered in Šatov, South Moravia, is renowned for its premium wines and cultivates approximately 500 hectares of vineyards, including the historic Šobes vineyard. The transaction marks a significant milestone in the consolidation of the Czech wine industry.
