"PSP Legal Supports Solar2 in Developing a 20 MWp Green Energy Project in Italy"

"PSP Legal has supported Solar2, a renewable energy group, in developing a significant 20 MWp solar and agrivoltaic park in Italy. The project aligns with national and European energy transition goals, producing 32,000 MWh/year of clean energy to power over 13,000 households and reduce CO₂ emissions by 13,000 tons annually. It includes a 11.2 MWp photovoltaic plant and a 9.6 MWp agrivoltaic plant, integrating renewable energy production with agricultural activities. The initiative, backed by Intesa Sanpaolo and environmental expert Monica Cairoli, sets a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in the growing renewable energy sector."

PSP Legal assisted Solar2 Holding, a group active in the renewable energy sector, in the development of a photovoltaic and agrivoltaic park exceeding 20 MWp, one of the most significant green projects in the renewable energy sector in Italy in recent months. The project, characterized by high technological and environmental content, aligns with national and European initiatives for energy transition and decarbonization. The facility is expected to produce approximately 32,000 MWh/year of clean energy, equivalent to the needs of over 13,000 households, with an estimated reduction of over 13,000 tons of CO₂ annually. The initiative includes an 11.2 MWp photovoltaic plant and a 9.6 MWp agrivoltaic plant, eligible for funding under the PNRR, designed to integrate renewable energy production with agricultural activities. Intesa Sanpaolo supported the transaction as financier/arranger for Solar2 Holding, while Monica Cairoli, a national councilor of CONAF and environmental expert, coordinated the feasibility and sustainability study for the agrivoltaic plant. PSP Legal's multidisciplinary team was led by founding partner Michele Feltrin.
