Hannes Snellman advised Exilion, a leading Finnish renewable energy investor, on its investment into an energy storage facility, while Merus Power was the counterparty in the transaction. The transaction involved Exilion's approximately EUR 17 million investment into a 30 MW/66 MWh energy storage facility located in Mäntyharju. The facility, expected to be operational in 2026, will provide critical balancing capacity to the electricity market and enhance power system stability. Hannes Snellman provided legal advice on negotiating construction, supply, services, and transaction contracts.
