International law firm Simmons & Simmons advised Tikehau Capital, the global alternative asset management group, on its strategic joint venture with Cresco Real Estate for the acquisition of the Tierpark Hotel in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The transaction involved the acquisition of the Tierpark Hotel, a 4-star property with 278 rooms and 14 event spaces, as part of Tikehau Capital’s pan-European value-add strategy. The hotel, located in Berlin-Lichtenberg, will continue to be operated by Cresco Real Estate, which plans to invest in its modernisation and energy efficiency. The deal was financed by an Article 9 fund and represents the second collaboration between Tikehau Capital and Cresco Real Estate, further expanding Tikehau Capital’s value-add strategy in the German real estate sector. The Simmons & Simmons team from Frankfurt was led by Dr Moritz Vettermann, partner, who specializes in real estate transactions.
