A financing transaction involving empact GmbH was supported by the law firm honert, which advised empact GmbH, and Perella Weinberg, which acted as M&A advisors to empact GmbH. The transaction involved a financing round in which empact GmbH secured approximately EUR 100 million in growth financing. The round was led by Sustainable Development Capital LLP (SDCL), a London-based investment company, and included participation from several family offices as existing investors. The funds will be used to further empact’s mission of driving climate neutrality in the building sector by developing clean, resilient energy systems and advancing the decarbonization of buildings in Germany. The honert team consisted of Dr. Kai-Klemens Wehlage (lead), Judith Kutter (M&A/VC), Samuel Wimmer (corporate law), Johanna Schöbener (corporate law), and Felix Strobel (M&A/VC).
