International law firm Simmons & Simmons advised London-based pan-European investment manager Vengrove on the acquisition of a prime last-mile logistics development opportunity in Munich. Vengrove acquired the site from a private seller, marking its first German acquisition for its VRE Evergreen Logistics Partners (VREELP) platform. The transaction involved the acquisition of a brownfield site in Olching, a commercial suburb of Munich, adjacent to the A8 motorway. The site will be developed into a state-of-the-art logistics unit spanning approximately 9,000 sq m (97,000 sq ft), with a gross development value of €30 million. The project aims to achieve DGNB Platinum certification, highlighting Vengrove’s commitment to ESG excellence. This acquisition is part of VREELP’s strategy to invest €200 million in equity into logistics and light industrial assets across key European markets.
