Mishcon de Reya and Slaughter and May participated in the transaction, advising DC01UK and Equinix respectively. Mishcon de Reya assisted DC01UK in the sale of their South Mimms site, while Slaughter and May represented Equinix. The transaction involved the sale of an 85-acre site in South Mimms, which is set to become one of Europe's largest and most advanced data centres. The site has a projected total investment value of approximately £3.9 billion. This deal is considered a significant milestone for the UK's digital and data infrastructure sector, supporting the UK Government's ambition to position the country as a global leader in AI, technology, and data capability.
