The transaction involved the sale of a majority stake in UAX, a private higher education platform in Spain, which was founded in 1993 in Madrid. CVC Funds, which invested in UAX in 2019 alongside the founding family, has transformed the institution into a professional and scalable higher education platform over the last six years. UAX has invested over €350 million to enhance and expand its facilities, including new campuses in Madrid and Málaga, leading to an increase in total student numbers from 8,000 to 35,000. Jesús Núñez and the management team will reinvest in UAX as part of the transaction.
