Kazakhstan Issues $1.5 Billion Notes Due 2030 with Latham & Watkins Advising

"Latham & Watkins advised the Republic of Kazakhstan on its issuance of US$1.5 billion in 4.412% Notes due 2030, which are listed on the London, Astana, and Kazakhstan Stock Exchanges. The issuance was managed by Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, and Standard Chartered Bank, with local support from Halyk Finance and Teniz Capital. The Latham team was led by partners Mikhail Turetsky and Manoj Tulsiani."

Latham & Watkins participated in the transaction by advising the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by its Ministry of Finance, on its issuance of US$1.5 billion 4.412% Notes due 2030. The transaction involved the issuance of the Notes under Regulation S and Rule 144A of the US Securities Act, with listings on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), Astana International Exchange (AIX), and Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE). Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, and Standard Chartered Bank served as joint lead managers, while Halyk Finance and Teniz Capital acted as local managers. The Latham & Watkins team was led by London partners Mikhail Turetsky and Manoj Tulsiani, with support from London associate Alexander Kartyshev and Tokyo associate Edward Lee.
