"Sorainen has assisted Ignitis Group's Vejas and Windlit in securing EUR 318 million in project financing for the 314-megawatt Kelme wind farm in Lithuania, the largest operational wind farm in the Baltics. The financing was provided by the European Investment Bank, Swedbank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Nordic Investment Bank. The project, managed by Ignitis Renewables, aims to supply electricity to around 250,000 households and involves a total investment of up to EUR 550 million."

Sorainen and Walless participated in a significant transaction involving the financing of the Kelme wind farm in Lithuania. Sorainen advised Ignitis Group entities Vejas and Windlit, while Walless provided counsel to the lenders involved in the project. The transaction involved EUR 318 million in project financing for the 314-megawatt Kelme wind farm, which is recognized as the largest operational wind farm in the Baltics. The financing was granted by the European Investment Bank, Swedbank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Nordic Investment Bank. The project, managed by Ignitis Renewables, a subsidiary of Ignitis Group, is expected to meet the electricity needs of approximately 250,000 Lithuanian households, with a total investment of up to EUR 550 million, including acquisition and construction costs.
