On 23 October 2025, McCann FitzGerald LLP advised Alkermes plc in its acquisition of Avadel Pharmaceuticals plc, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, in a deal valued at up to $2.1 billion. The McCann FitzGerald LLP team was led by Stephen FitzSimons, Jack Kelly, and Gill Lohan from the Corporate and M&A practice, along with Mark O’Connor and Stuart McCarron from Debt Finance, and Alan Heuston from Tax.
