Coca-Cola HBC Acquires 75% Stake in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa for $2.6 Billion

"Coca-Cola HBC has agreed to acquire a 75% stake in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa for $2.6 billion from The Coca-Cola Company and Gutsche Family Investments. This acquisition will enhance Coca-Cola HBC's operations and market presence in Africa, where CCBA is the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products, serving over 600 million consumers across 14 countries. Latham & Watkins represented Coca-Cola HBC in the regulatory aspects of its acquisition of a 75% shareholding in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Pty Ltd (CCBA) from The Coca-Cola Company and Gutsche Family Investments Pty Ltd. Coca-Cola HBC has entered into a definitive sale and purchase agreement to acquire CCBA for a combined purchase price of US$2.6 billion. This acquisition enhances Coca-Cola HBC's operational capabilities and market presence across Africa, where CCBA is the largest bottler of TCCC’s products, operating in 14 countries and serving over 600 million consumers.
