In a recent transaction, the law firm RDJ advised MC2 Accountants, a prominent Cork-based audit, tax, and advisory firm, on its acquisition by the UK accountancy group S&W. The acquisition signifies S&W's second foray into the Irish market this year, following its earlier acquisition of Beechwood Partners in Dublin. With the addition of MC2, S&W will enhance its Irish operations by incorporating 47 professionals, including four partners, bringing its total workforce in Ireland to over 160 employees. MC2 partner James Loughrey noted that this move will bolster their capacity to provide integrated solutions to clients amid a more complex business landscape. The RDJ cross-practice team involved in this transaction was led by Gillian Keating (Corporate and M&A) and included Maria Walsh, Elena Vassileva, Arabella Carr, Sarah Alexander (Corporate and M&A), John Cuddigan, Sarahjane O’Shea (Tax), and Aideen Farrelly (Real Estate).
