PLMJ advised Helexia, a French company of the Voltalia group, in its agreement with NGEN Group, while NGEN Group was also represented by legal counsel in this transaction. The transaction involves the implementation of energy storage systems in Portugal, with an investment of €20 million planned for 2026. The agreement outlines the development of a pipeline exceeding 100 megawatts (MW), with Helexia aiming to complete approximately 25 MW of this capacity during the specified year. The energy storage systems will be integrated with photovoltaic panels, allowing for efficient energy management and consumption. The operation was led by João Marques Mendes, a partner responsible for the energy practice at PLMJ, with the support of senior associate Maria Gorjão Henriques.
