Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP advised the joint book-running managers in connection with a Rule 144A / Regulation S offering of $350 million aggregate principal amount of 5.848% senior notes due 2055 by New England Power Company. The transaction involved the issuance of senior notes by New England Power Company, which operates electric transmission facilities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. New England Power Company is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid USA, which is itself an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of National Grid plc, a UK-based international electricity and natural gas energy delivery company. The Davis Polk corporate team included partner Reuven B. Young, counsel Christopher Diel, and associate Mary Valtas.
