This transaction marks the inaugural corporate power purchase agreements (CPPAs) for Octopus Energy Generation and BayWa r.e. in France. The agreements involve two solar plants, "Greenberry" and "Fontenet 3," developed and constructed by BayWa r.e. and owned by Octopus Energy Generation, which are expected to generate over 100 GWh annually. This partnership aims to produce 2.5 TWh of renewable electricity over the 25-year duration of the CPPAs. The WFW Paris team advising Octopus Energy Generation and BayWa r.e. was led by partner Laurent Battoue, alongside senior associate Juliana Brandao Marques, focusing on regulatory and contractual aspects.
