Simpson Thacher represented Molymet Alloys, LLC, a subsidiary of Molibdenos y Metales, S.A. ("Molymet"), in its agreement to acquire Rhenium Alloys, Inc. ("Rhenium Alloys"), an Ohio-based manufacturer of refractory metals and high-temperature products. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. Molymet is a leading Chilean company in the processing of molybdenum and rhenium, serving various industries such as steel, chemical, aerospace, and energy.
