Eiffel Investment Group Acquires 50% Stake in 270 MW Wind and Solar Portfolio from TotalEnergies

"Watson Farley & Williams advised Eiffel Investment Group on acquiring a 50% stake in a 270 MW wind and solar portfolio from TotalEnergies Renouvelables France, valued at €265 million. TotalEnergies retains the other 50% and continues to operate the assets. Eiffel Investment Group, managing around €7 billion in assets, focuses on energy transition investments. TotalEnergies aims to increase its renewable electricity production capacity from over 30 GW to 35 GW by 2025. Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised Eiffel Investment Group on the acquisition of a 50% stake in a 270 MW wind and solar portfolio from TotalEnergies Renouvelables France, valued at €265 million. TotalEnergies retains a 50% stake and continues to operate the assets, purchasing and marketing the majority of the production. Eiffel Investment Group is an asset manager with approximately €7 billion in assets under management, focusing on industrial expertise, particularly in the energy transition sector. TotalEnergies is a multi-energy company that places sustainable development at the core of all its projects and operations, with a renewable electricity production capacity of over 30 GW and ambitions to reach 35 GW by the end of 2025 and a net electricity production of over 100 TWh by 2030. The multidisciplinary team from WFW Paris advising Eiffel Investment Group was led by Laurent Battoue, partner in public and regulatory law, alongside Thomas Rabain, partner in corporate and M&A. They were assisted by Antoine Bois-Minot, counsel, and Lucile Mazoué, associate.
