"International law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) assisted Schneider Electric in negotiating a bridge loan to finance the acquisition of the remaining 35% stake in its joint venture, Schneider Electric India Private Limited (SEIPL), from Temasek for €5.5 billion. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the coming quarters. To refinance the bridge loan, Schneider Electric issued bonds totaling €3.5 billion on Euronext Paris, structured in four tranches, and also issued convertible senior bonds maturing in 2033.
