"Liligo Takes Legal Action Against Alphabet for Alleged Violations of Digital Markets Act"

"Gide is advising Liligo, a French online travel metasearch engine owned by eDreams ODIGEO, in one of the first compensation actions in France under the Digital Markets Act (DMA). Following a formal investigation by the European Commission into Google's preferential treatment of its own services in flight-related searches, Liligo has filed a lawsuit against Alphabet in Paris to halt these practices and seek damages. Without waiting for the outcome of this procedure, which is expected in the coming weeks, Liligo has filed a lawsuit against Alphabet before the Paris Economic Activities Tribunal to seek an immediate cessation of the identified self-preferencing practices and compensation for the damages incurred. **Lawyers Involved:** The Gide team consists of: - Laurent Godfroid (Partner) - Emmanuel Reille (Partner) - Melanie Gouraud (Associate) - Mathilde Cosperec (Associate) - Martin Roger (Associate)
