Dentons, a prominent law firm, advised a club of banks led by Tatra banka in a syndicated loan transaction. The banks involved in this financing included Tatra banka, which acted as agent and arranger, along with Komercni Banka Slovakia, Slovenska Sporitelna, and Vseobecna Uverova Banka. The purpose of the loan, amounting to up to EUR 380 million, was to refinance the existing financing for the Eurovea 1 and Eurovea 2 real estate projects, which are part of the portfolio of Slovak real estate developer JTRE. The Eurovea City project, highlighted in the press release, is JTRE’s most significant completed development. It represents a major mixed-use development in Bratislava, Slovakia, situated along the Danube River, transforming a former industrial area into a vibrant urban quarter that encompasses residential, retail, entertainment, and administrative spaces. Eurovea 2, the large-scale second phase of this project, was completed in 2023 and significantly enhances the existing Eurovea complex by expanding shopping, office, and residential offerings, as well as improving the riverfront promenade and green spaces. The Dentons team that worked on this transaction included Bratislava-based Counsels Petra Strbova and Peter Panek, along with Associates Katarina Slezakova, David Stanek, David Duda, Alen Gondek, and Norbert Vizvari.
